Stand Firm
The road is long and the shadows darkened
They lie across the path that you now walk.
You grudgingly look down and follow your feet
Not knowing where to, or what you should do.
You light the candle that you know so well
Yet the darkness engulfs you still.
It’s heaviness pulls you down into a hunched form
As your energy and hope are drained from within you.
Stand tall and firm and know I am here
I shall never leave your side.
You may not see Me showering grace upon you
Yet I look over you and hold you in My hand.
Stay resolute; know that I am your God.
I shall strengthen you, just stay true to Me.
Let your faith stand the test of time and adversity
And I shall break through and show you a new dawn.
