Description
This album reminds us that with every sunrise comes the symbolism of Christ’s Resurrection & that we face a new start, and a new life with Christ. When a storm inevitably hits, know that we were only built to bear the burden of one twenty-four-hour day at a time.
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.” – Matt. 6:34 Because with every sunrise, comes the symbolism of Christ’s Resurrection from death, and every time we rise from sleep, we experience a mini-Resurrection of our own, and face a new start, and a new life with Christ.
Do you want to be healed? Then sing: “I will rise to give thanks to You” – Ps. 119:62, for today is the first day of the rest of my life. “Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day.” – 2 Cor. 4:16
A very important aspect of a song is its educational value that it offers to listeners. In other words the lyrics must present a substantial theological teaching about the Orthodox Church teaching and theology. Asaph Tunes’ role is to encourage and present the work of these artists to the best quality and provide it in the most common media available.
This is what St John Chrysostom teaches about thanksgiving in our daily lives:
“Let us give thanks to God continually. For, it is outrageous that when we enjoy His gifts to us in deed every single day, we do not acknowledge the favour with so much as a word; and this, when the acknowledgment bestows great benefit on us. He does not need anything of ours, but we are in need of all things from Him.
In fact, thanksgiving adds nothing to Him, but it brings us closer to Him. For if, when we recall the benefactions of men, we are the more warmed by affection for them; much more, when we continually bring to mind the gifts of the Master towards us, shall we be more earnest with regard to His commandments” – St John Chrysostom
