I’m Peter Rose from St Anthony & St Paul’s Coptic Orthodox Church, Sydney, Australia. My preferred genre is essentially pop with influences of jazz, blues, rock, funk and R&B. I’d call myself amateur but slightly more towards the serious side of that spectrum. I’ve completed an Advanced Diploma in Contemporary Music and a Bachelor of Music Studies. Music for me is fun though, and never too serious. Kind of how I am with life 🙂
I’ve played many instruments including, Marimba, Vibraphone, Drum kit, hand percussion, keyboards, guitar and bass. I’ve done this in a Latin band, a jazz band, several rock bands, a huge percussion ensemble and I’ve also produced and rapped on a collaborative hip-hop EP. Also recorded with my jazz band, a couple of rock bands and my own productions I did at home just for kicks. I’ve also taught music in a range of contexts over about 7-8 years.
I actually like listening to music more than playing it so when I do play, it seems that all of a sudden I have lots to say.
