Come Holy Spirit
Come Holy Spirit.
Three words so easy to say.
But what power do these words really contain?
The answer to that rhetoric is simple.
The Holy Spirit can remind us to be pure.
It can remind us to be grateful and be sure.
Enabling us to live for Christ in all we do.
May you and I , adhere to live our lives pleasing God.
Through the Holy Spirit’s power, we can strive.
And be reminded on the Word of God.
The Word of God humbles, counsels and mends,
Our contrite and broken heart – that root from our sins.
Come Holy Spirit.
Three words so easy to say.
Dear God, may we recite it
With lesser confusion and laxity
But with clarity and understanding,
Next time we stand up and pray.
